Bang & Bonsomer acquires majority of the shares in Costech
As of September 2nd, 2021 Bang & Bonsomer has acquired 51% of the shares in Costech Chemicals ApS. Previous owner Mr. Klaus Buhl will stay as a minority owner with 49% of the shares.
Costech is a chemical distribution company specializing in raw materials and additives sales and service for personal care, home care, and pharma industries in the Nordic countries. The company is located in Smorum, close to Copenhagen, Denmark.
Bang & Bonsomer is a material technology company and a distributor for a wide range of industrial raw materials and additives in Scandinavia, Finland, CIS countries, and the Baltic States. Bang & Bonsomer has six industry-oriented business units that specialize in sales and services for industry-focused applications. In 2020 Group sales were 170 M€ and employees over 300. Bang & Bonsomer’s head office is located in Helsinki, Finland.
The cross-merger of businesses strengthens Costech’s and Bang & Bonsomer’s product offering for the personal care, home care, and pharma industries in the Nordics. Costech’s organization will be operationally merged to Bang & Bonsomer’s Beauty & Clean business unit, and Costech’s personnel will report to Beauty & Clean business unit director Aet Jässi. Costech will benefit from Bang & Bonsomer’s business organization in the different countries as well as the knowledge and technical support including the use of Bang & Bonsomer’s application laboratory, marketing, and regulation management. Bang & Bonsomer will benefit from Costech’s well established position and customer knowledge in the Scandinavian area.
