Our Carbon Offset Initiative
As part of our climate management strategy and in line with our Sustainability Policy, Bang & Bonsomer Group has taken verified action to mitigate the residual greenhouse gas emissions from our operations.
We have purchased Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) issued under the United Nations Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol. These CERs cover Scope 1 and 2 emissions from our EU operations.
The CERs support a grid-connected wind power project in the Philippines, which contributes to:
• Generating renewable electricity and reducing fossil-fuel dependency
• Achieving measurable and independently verified CO₂ emission reductions
• Advancing sustainable development aligned with UN climate objectives
All emission reductions are verified through UNFCCC methodologies and procedures, ensuring transparency, traceability, and environmental integrity.
This initiative is part of our broader decarbonization efforts, where we prioritize direct emission reductions wherever possible and rely on certified offsets only for unavoidable emissions.
