Bang & Bonsomer makes strategic investment in nanocellulose company Betulium

Investing in Betulium shares will complement Bang & Bonsomer’s targets in material technologies. Bang & Bonsomer and Betulium have also signed a long-term global development and commercialisation agreement.

Betulium and Bang & Bonsomer have excellent synergies in production, product development and sales of various cellulose nanofibers (CNF) and micro-fibrillated cellulose (MFC). Products made with Betulium’s patented technologies can be used in a number of end applications such as food, paint & coatings, construction, personal & home care, rubber & tyre, composites and plastics.

Betulium Oy is a Finnish clean-tech company which was established in 2013. It provides renewable, biodegradable and high-performance water-based cellulose materials to replace or supplement synthetic organic polymers in a vast number of industrial applications. Betulium runs a pilot plant producing material on an industrial scale in Espoo, Finland.

Bang & Bonsomer is a private Finnish material technology company offering a wide range of industrial raw materials and additives.
