After the completion of the due diligence process the parties eventually closed the deal at the last day of 2008. The final settlement took place January 23rd. The negotiations were carried out in a constructive spirit and both the seller and the buyer are committed to make the deal a success.
The deal is a logic step following the consolidation among both suppliers and customers within the pulp and paper industry. As a part of the Transmeri group Banmark will become an even stronger partner for their partners within the paper and pulp industry. Transmeri is committed to this business, for the long run. Transmeri wants to grow and develop the Banmark business.
Bang & Bonsomer will focus on the core activities, i.e. to be a leading distributor to the chemical, construction, personal & home care, life sciences, plastics & packaging and paint & coating industry sectors. They cooperation with Banmark will continue and Bang & Bonsomer intends to use it as a channel to the pulp and paper industry.
Banmark will remain an independent company within the Transmeri group providing a platform for further enhancing the solutions offered to their business partners.
