Tate & Lyle wheat proteins

Tate & Lyle was a pioneer in the use of wheat in large industrial scale and was the first to develop new functional wheat proteins on wheat basis. The company has now introduced a new wheat protein to the market - soluble wheat protein.

Soluble wheat protein has unique functional characteristics.  It is highly nutritious and digestible.  The most important features of the new protein are its technological properties; it imparts cereal protein value where visco-elasticity is not wanted, helps bind water, maintains spreadable texture and can be used to modify texture to provide a more open, chewable extruded product . These favourable properties significantly add convenience and speed to the traditional manufacturing process.
